Who is Michael T. Tollette?
I live at 205 Sequoia Dr. with my wife Allyson, and our three children; Allie (12); Mitch (8) and Wes (soon to be 5). We have lived in Hollywood Park approximately 10 years. Allyson grew up on Fleetwood and my family has lived on the periphery since 1979. We moved into Hill Country Village and called it home until I graduated from Churchill in 1985.
Allyson and I wed in 1992 and spent the next seven years trying to move back to Hollywood Park. We agreed that Hollywood Park was the community in which we wanted to raise our family.
It seems that I was not the only one in my family who wanted to live in Hollywood Park. My parents, Nard and Pat Tollette, were the trend setters, moving in about the time that Allyson and I were married. My brother Trey and his wife Jennifer moved in shortly after we did.
Today, my three kids and my brothers five are terrorizing Sequoia and Mecca on the their bicycles and rip-sticks, so please be careful when you drive down our streets.
Being a parent is hectic at best when you have three kids going in three directions at one time. However, Allyson and the kids spend their waking hours orbiting around Hollywood Park. It is the center of our world – where we all come back – where at the end of the day we lay down our head. Hollywood Park is the one constant in our lives – it’s home.
Even though life is hectic, I know that I have to make time for what is important. My family is important to me and that means I have an obligation to support and improve the community we call “home”. That means participating in the decision-making process about the future of Hollywood Park. Sometimes participating is just taking the time to say what is on your mind. This BLOG is about Hollywood Park, My Family and Me.
